This website came about because my cousin, Clare Bibby, decided to write a book about our Great grandmother Mary Glover Bibby.

She is in the process of doing a great deal of research and has already been around to a lot of the family to photograph a lot Mary’s artwork for the book.

This spurred my brother, Neil, and I into thinking that maybe others would be interested in seeing her works and perhaps owning a print or two of her paintings which are of some beautiful snapshots in time of children playing and familiar places in New Zealand’s past.

So Neil has got busy gathering together some of the paintings and having them professionally scanned.

These images are being compiled on this website and you can look at them by clicking on your left on the “photo gallery” bar.

Four albums of photos will then appear on your screen.

If you click on “Mary Glover Bibby paintings” you can view her paintings.

We feel that through this website these paintings will be shared with more of you and we hope you will enjoy them.

The other albums in the photo gallery are a collection of photos including “Bibby family photos”, “Bibby store photos” and “11 Rose Street photos”. These are a collection of photos which I have scanned because I was bringing together my own collection of Bibby photos, especially those which have any connection with James and Mary, or 11 Rose Street (which is where I currently live - and my great grandparents lived).
